Walking Meditation Can Double Your Health Benefits

You probably know that walking is a great way to stay healthy physically. It provides cardiovascular benefits, burns calories, and increases blood flow to various parts of your body that need it. However, have you ever thought of combining the time you spend walking with spiritual and mental meditation, so that you can increase the benefits walking can offer you?

Oftentimes, when people take up walking, they do so because it’s an easy way to exercise that is low impact and is easy to learn. You don’t need special equipment or even a lot of time. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and walk your way toward better health.

However, if you combine this with meditation or mindful walking, you can get even more benefit out of this time than you would normally spend just exercising.

Walking meditation comes from the art of Ayatana; Ayatana is a Buddhist concept whereby you stay continually in touch with your senses. You don’t walk mindlessly, but focus on every step and sensation. You don’t have to increase your speed and even may walk a lot more slowly than usual at first until you are fully comfortable with meditating while you walk.

As you focus on your walking, take note of how heavy or light your feet are as they come up off the ground and then return to it after each step. With walking meditation, you want to be focused on walking as an experience. Keep your mind focused on the process; focus on the steps you’re taking first with your right foot, then your left foot.

Frequently, meditation involves closing your eyes in order to shut out distractions and clear your mind. But meditation while walking necessitates that your eyes stay open, not only so that you can see where you’re going, but also so you can take in your surroundings and incorporate them into your mindfulness.

Do your walking meditation in an area that feels calm and peaceful to you and is inviting. Don’t do it right in the middle of a busy street, or downtown with lots of traffic. Try to do your walk for at least 20 minutes each time.

As you start out on your walk, maintain proper body alignment. Keep your arms loosely at your sides and gaze ahead of you about three to six feet as you move along.

Of course, walking will help your body and your health in many ways. It provides more serotonin to improve your mood as well. If you add meditation to your walk, your exercise program will become even more powerful and further improve your mind as well as your body.

Secrets Of An Amazing New Life Using Cosmic Ordering

Nowadays, people are starting to believe a lot more in the usefulness of the process of cosmic ordering. It is like placing a food order at the drive through at a restaurant and getting your food, except you do this order for your desires straight to the universe to get it. There have been plenty of celebrities that speak of this being responsible for the great success in their lives.

Many people today manage to receive what they think about wanting, but why does this not work for everyone who tries this? Is it possible that the ones that get what they want have some kind of secret knowledge? Is there really such a thing as the cosmic ordering process?

Have you ever been totally disgruntled over a friend or fellow worker’s promotion or other prize they have received? At that point you just placed yourself a negative order through the cosmic ordering process. Being jealous over another’s success, makes the statement that you do not think you deserve getting what the universe has to offer, and initiates more bad karma and even a lack of wealth for you.

Think about the last time you went to a swanky restaurant. Do you recall how you reacted when you saw what people were eating? You probably saw one of the meals and thought that is what you were going to order! Then you thought to yourself that maybe the person you saw eating the meal enjoyed it as much as you did yours.

If this holds true for you, then why not also find delight in the other person’s success? You can find joy in other people’s success and understand that you too will have just as good of success. But if you harbor resentment, disappointment, or even anger this says that you are not a believer that you will get success. This is when you put in your order to fail.

Religious believers have said for many years that the power of a prayer can simply give you what you desire, now we need to look into this type of belief system to see how it goes with cosmic ordering. It has been discovered that quantum physics is so very like the system of belief, and is helping to prove that the religious doctrine that has existed for years really is true.

This all is made credible by one applying the energy of their mind. You should not think that this contradicts religious beliefs, this is actually proof that the beliefs are true.

If you are attempting this by just doing the positive affirmations, you can run into roadblocks along the way. Your past bad luck or situations can deter this new hopeful attitude you wish to have, and this can do away with all the good headway you were making. You have to understand that while positive thinking is successful, that it also takes awhile to rid yourself of your old negative views.

Are there actual secrets to cosmic ordering? You need to sweep out the dark recesses of your mind prior to being able to begin the process of getting your dreams to become reality. You need to wipe the slate clean, and accept the idea that you are entitled to attain from the universe all you desire wealth and happiness wise.

There are numerous ways that will assist you cleaning out the negative thoughts. The same way that the vacuum sweepers help us clean our carpets much better than any toothbrush would, the same is so with the modern methods today are more thorough at conditioning the mind to adapt to a new way of thinking about what you desire in life.

There are methods such as binaural frequency waves, subliminal affirmations, and self-hypnosis to assist you with your journey to get the things you want. These modern methods accelerate the process of you doing away with your old way of negative thinking, and this will enable many things to come into your life. With the help of your brain you can learn the secrets to cosmic ordering, now your brain at times wants to keep you from having success, but with practice you don’t have to let this happen.

Human beings for the most part are not comfortable when things change. Your brain likes things to stay the same and will argue with you, so you have to be sure about having what you want! This is where you can use the system for cosmic ordering to change things. It is able to change the place you are in right now, due to the fact that the universe thinks you deserve more.

The cosmic ordering process can provide you whatever you desire. You need to be careful that you order what you truly want, and all you have to do to get it is to completely believe that it will happen.

Living Full Out, 100%, No Matter What

“Every man dies; not every man really lives.” -William Wallace, Braveheart

The movie Braveheart, starring and directed by Mel Gibson, is one of my favorites.

It’s the story of the legendary William Wallace in his valiant struggle to free Scotland from the oppressive King Longshanks of England. It’s a bloody and violent film (although not gratuitously so) filled with treachery, injustice, betrayal and courage.

For me, one of the most profound lines in the entire movie was uttered by Sir Wallace shortly before he was tortured and executed by his enemies. The princess of Wales was pleading for his life and begging Wallace to swear allegiance to the King, thereby avoiding a slow and excruciatingly painful death. She says to Wallace, “If you do not, you will surely die.” To which Wallace responds, “Every man dies; not every man really lives.”

It was as true in the 1300s as it is today. We will all surely die. The only question is when and where. If we have the chance to reflect upon our life before we pass, will we say that we truly lived?

Most people in the twilight of their lives have more regrets for what they didn’t do than for what they did. They wish they had done more, seen more and felt more. They wish they had lived with more gusto.

Don’t let that happen to you. Life is not something to be endured. Life is meant to be lived full out. But most of us, for a variety of reasons, have pulled back-we live carefully and guarded-not allowing the full expression of who we are and what we believe.

Be enthusiastic! It’s contagious. John Wesley said, “Set yourself on fire and people will come for miles to watch you burn.” You don’t have to be flamboyant about it either (although it might help). Genuine enthusiasm lies just beneath the surface and is always bubbling to the top. What many people think of as enthusiasm is simply exuberance pasted on the outside.

It’s always been amazing to me that people will demonstrate more enthusiasm and excitement for their favorite sports team than they do for their own life. They think nothing of acting a little-or a lot- crazy rooting for their team but have little or no enthusiasm for the big game-their life.

Forget about what people might think. Like Mel Brooks said, “If you’re alive, you’ve got to flap your arms and legs, you got to jump around a lot, you’ve got to make a lot of noise, because life is the very opposite of death . . . You’ve got to be noisy, or at least your thoughts should be noisy and colorful and lively.”

That way, when your turn on the planet is done, you (and others) can say you lived your life, you really lived.

I invite you-no, I implore you-to look carefully at how you’re living your own life. Where are you just going through the motions? Where are you not living full out? What would your life be like if you gave your all-to your job, your family, your community, your beliefs, to your mate?

Living full out is the only way to really live.

The Art of Gratefulness

“If you learn to appreciate more of what you already have, you’ll find yourself having more to appreciate.”

The word appreciate has several meanings. One is to be thankful or show gratitude. Another is to raise or increase in value-such as how a good investment appreciates with time. I think that by appreciating-practicing gratefulness-the things we have and want in our lives also increase.

In our hectic, fast-paced lives, it’s easy to forget about the many things for which we have to be grateful. We tend to be goal-seeking, achievement-oriented people.

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

However, it’s vitally important that we not lose sight of the things that are near and dear-things we all too easily take for granted.

What we focus on expands. If we focus on the problems in our lives, they tend to increase. If we focus on the good things we already have, they too, have a tendency to grow.

I see it as another form of prayer. When we worry and fret over things, we make them bigger than they really are, as well as attract more of the same.

That’s negative prayer-prayer in reverse.

Focusing on what we have and what we want “appreciates” these things-they grow.

Just before going to sleep each night, my wife and I share at least three things for which we’re thankful. We call it “doing our gratefuls.” It takes only a few moments, but it directs our thoughts on the good-on the things we wish to increase in our life.

I suggest making the conscious consideration of your blessings a daily occurrence. If you do, you’ll find them taking on an even greater presence.

When Things Keep Going Wrong

One common experience that people have when working deliberately with the Law of Attraction is the phenomena of everything going wrong - even though they are certain that they are doing everything right.

They may be visualizing, meditating, creating vision boards, keeping their thoughts positive, clearing out old negative or limiting beliefs - but the experiences they get are completely in opposition to those positive efforts.

Why does this happen?

First, there is a process often referred to as “chemicalization” that seems to commence right when you begin making progress. Bestselling prosperity and success author Catherine Ponder shares some excellent insights about chemicalization:

Recently a civil service employee in a distant city said, “I have your book, The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity, and it is the best book on the subject I have ever read. For a time, I worked with the laws you described and they brought dynamic good into my life. But suddenly, I am frightened and discouraged. The last few weeks, everything seems to have gone in reverse. What has happened?”

That lady was relieved to learn that another dynamic law was working for her-the law of chemicalization.

You’ve heard it said that things have to get worse sometimes before they can get better; that the getting worse process is actually a part of the improvement process; that what seems failure is actually success being born in the situation. That’s chemicalization!

Chemicalization sounds like a negative process, but actually it is a very positive one, a natural, normal one. Though it is an uncomfortable experience, it is worth going through, because it is always a sign that cleansing is taking place. Something higher and better always results from this experience.

When these periods come, remind yourself, “This is nothing to fear. This is not evil. There Is only good at work In this experience. Healing Is now taking place In my world. I rest, relax and let It.” As you nonresistantly meet chemicalization in this way, very soon brighter conditions will appear.

Emmet Fox has described the healing process of chemicalization:

It seems as though everything begins to go wrong at once. This may be disconcerting, but it is really a good sign. Suppose your whole world seems to rock on its foundation. Hold on steadily, and let it rock, and when the rocking is over, the picture will have reassembled itself into something much nearer to your heart’s desire.

Chemicalization means that things are coming out in a better state of affairs than ever before. Regardless of what seems to be happening, It never means anything else. When a physical or mental disturbance arises after your deliberate use of right thinking, it is always a sign that your right thinking is at work clearing out the negative, so that the positive power of good can gain complete dominion of your world.

As you practice the prosperity laws given in my books, faithfully writing out your desires, making a wheel of fortune, commanding your good to appear, creating a master plan for success, and as you practice the healing laws faithfully invoking denial, forgiveness, release, and affirmations of love, praise, etc. - don’t be surprised if your world begins to rock!

When it does say to yourself, “This Is good! Those laws are working for me In a dynamic way. Only dynamic good shall come from this cleansing experience.” You are having a mental, emotional, and perhaps even a physical “spring cleaning.” How free, unburdened, and ready for better health and greater health and greater good you will be as this cleansing perfects you and your world.

I have been through numerous periods of chemicalization and they are never fun - but I have found that if you stop fighting and simply LET GO of trying to make things happen in a certain way, by a certain time, everything begins to smooth out fairly quickly.

Remember that in order to make room for what you want, the Universe in its infinite wisdom might first sweep away circumstances that you once believed made you happy (but really didn’t). It might seem like a terrible void is left in their absence, but allow yourself to believe that something better will soon come zooming over the horizon.

Just concentrate on making a big enough space to fit it into your life. Focus on becoming the person who can eagerly and confidently embrace these new circumstances. They are guaranteed to be bigger and richer than the old ones, so grab a shovel, jackhammer, or a pick-axe and start expanding that void! It will be occupied soon enough. :-)
