I’ve been going on and on lately about how important your emotional state is while working with the Law of Attraction - TRUST ME, it’s VERY important!! But exactly HOW do you improve your emotional state? That was the question I got from “Dennis” recently. Here was my response to him:
Have you ever seen the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?”
In that movie they talked about the chemicals that our brains release when experiencing positive and negative emotions, and how it’s possible to become “addicted” to specific types of emotions - and find it very difficult to generate other types of emotions.
So, (my own interpretation is) you are used to feeling calm and in control and you may find it difficult to generate some strong positive emotions - simply because you’re not used to it. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do it.
When I first started working with my emotional state, I tended to lean heavily toward the negative emotions out of habit. 99% of the time I was immersed in feelings of anger, frustration, disgust, despair, anxiety and so on.
It took quite a bit of conscious determination for me to turn it around, but I did it in bite-sized pieces. During those rare moments when I was feeling okay, I’d say to myself, “I feel pretty good today. No, I feel REALLY good today! Actually, I feel AMAZINGLY GREAT today!!!” I’d keep going like that until I gradually raised my emotional state to a higher place.
I’d stay there for a few hours maybe, then plummet back down into the negative, and start the process all over again! I also did the 15-30 minutes a day of consciously generating strong positive emotion, and that helped too - but it wasn’t an instant change. I had to keep working at it daily until momentum took over.
But here’s the cool thing: once you’ve been doing this for long enough, it really does begin to take on a life of its own! Positive emotions are addictive too! To this day I find myself whooping for joy for no apparent reason. LOL I can be driving along in my car listening to the radio and suddenly I’ll be overcome with a huge wave of gratitude that brings tears to my eyes. I just feel good much of the time, and I know it’s because I’ve gotten used to expressing more positive emotions than negative. (In fact, negative emotions work much the same way - have you ever found yourself feeling sad or angry for no apparent reason?)
Anyway, I don’t want to ramble on too much with this, but you’ll gain a lot of control over your emotional state just by practicing every day. Use positive self-talk like I described above, or bring to mind something that makes you feel happy! Then let those feelings grow bigger and stronger and direct them toward other things in your life, whatever you’re trying to attract.

So, bottom line, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!! The more comfortable you get working with your emotions and consciously CHOOSING positive emotions, the easier you’ll find it to switch to a higher frequency whenever you want to.
