Ho’oponopono - Clearing the Negativity

Back in February I wrote a short post on Ho’oponopono and promised to write more about it later. Since then I’ve had some interesting experiences with this process!

The first few times I used it I didn’t spend a lot of time on it. I recited the words and definitely felt some shifting taking place, but didn’t really immerse myself in the process fully. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to go all the way and see what it could really do.

For years now I’ve had a recurring health issue that I can’t seem to get rid of. I’ve tried everything from conventional treatments to alternative treatments to visualization to EFT and beyond. Nothing has worked for this condition, not even the many LOA techniques I know. It’s a minor condition, but very annoying because it just keeps coming back and coming back.

So I thought, “Hmm, let’s try Ho’oponopono and see if it will work.” Can’t hurt, right?

I finished my work for the day and settled in to watch TV with Pat (hubby) for a few hours. He was watching some boring show on cars, so I was easily able to tune out the TV and focus on Ho’oponopono. I sat in the glider rocking chair and put my feet up, started rocking and saying the words to myself: I’m sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you . . .

Within a few minutes I had entered an almost trance-like state, rocking steadily and saying the words mentally over and over again. As I said each statement I made a point of bringing up the corresponding emotions (actually feeling regretful for creating this situation in my life, surrendering to the universe, feeling grateful, flowing feelings of deep love and appreciation, etc.).

Before I knew it, more than an hour had passed - and something VERY interesting was happening. Outside, the wind had picked up and was practically howling around the house. Pat looked at me and said, “Wow, you hear that wind?” I got up and looked outside and saw the trees swaying back and forth in strong gusts. Call me superstitious but it didn’t seem like a random event. ;-) It seemed like this wind was “blowing” the negative energy from my life.

I sat back down in my chair, and that’s when I noticed that the whole living room appeared to be glowing . . . like a thousand candles were casting a soft golden glow on everything. It seemed like that glow was within me too - like *I* had been cleansed. I felt so light and peaceful. And that condition that I hadn’t been able to get rid of before? GONE. And it hasn’t come back since.

That would be amazing enough, but I’m not done yet.

A few days later I received an unexpected bill in the mail that was pretty big and I didn’t have the money on hand to pay it. I could have taken it from savings but I didn’t want to do that. As I considered ways to raise the money quickly, a little light bulb went off in my head, “Would Ho’oponopono work on money too?” Why not?

That night I did the same thing, rocked in the glider for more than an hour saying the words and bringing up the corresponding feelings. And YES, the same thing happened - the wind kicked up and started blowing hard outside! And the next few days it was like a hurricane came blowing into my financial sector. Orders came FLOODING in for my business like they never have before. Not only orders either, but all kinds of good things like referrals and new opportunities for the future and more. In the space of a few days, I had more than enough money to pay that bill - and it came in a way that was completely effortless.

It’s no mystery to me why this process works so well in the context of Law of Attraction. Saying these words and bringing up the feelings associated with them automatically moves you into a state of surrender. You’re not RESISTING or throwing anxiety and fear into the mix. Your vibrational state becomes one of peace, harmony and receptivity. You’re LETTING GO - which is one of THE most important things you can do when you’re trying to create better circumstances. You’re giving the universe room to work on your behalf - and WOW does it.

So, if you’ve got a situation that nothing else seems to work on, you might want to try Ho’oponopono and see if it might be just the thing you need. I do recommend reading the book, Zero Limits because you’ll learn a lot more about the process and how it works. Besides, it’s a fascinating read. There are a lot of amazing stories in there - far more impressive than mine. Definitely check it out if you get a chance.

As for me, I’ve got a few other situations I’ll be using this process on! ;-)

Wow, that was fascinating. It was gripping and held my attention all the way through.

Is there another source of information other than the book you suggested? I seem to remember printing the words from somewhere but can’t figure out where.

    Thanks!

    Another question:

When you decided to try it for money, how exactly did you do it? You recited “I’m sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you.” Right?

What were you focused on when you were saying those words? Focused on money itself? Focused on the unexpected bill?

Did you consciously bring up emotions on purpose? If so, what did you bring up? Did you focus on your feelings of financial insecurity while chanting those words or did you focus on WHAT?

    Thanks!
