Grateful for Clarity!

Wow, is there anything more empowering than clarity? This morning I woke up feeling so CLEAR about my current direction in life, both personally and professionally. I’ve spent the past few days doing a lot of quiet thinking. Or, I should say NOT thinking. I’ve been listening. Opening up to my inner guidance.

I seem to need to do that pretty often. When the hustle and bustle of daily living gets to be too much, when all the outer noise and chaos begins to drown out my own inner voice . . … read more

I’m Grateful for Green!

Seemingly overnight, my surroundings have gone from boring brown to gorgeous GREEN! We’ve had some warm days along with heavy rain, and that has made all the vegetation spring to life. My husband even did the first lawn cutting of the season the other day.

Green leaves sprouting everywhere:

Hey! No biting the Gratitude Rock!

Why you ungrateful little . . .

Want a good laugh? A few minutes ago I was sitting quietly at my desk holding my “gratitude rock” (it’s a pretty piece of polished rose quartz that I hold while focusing on gratitude) and my cat Lily jumped up on my desk. She saw I was holding something in my hand and just had to find out what it was. She nosed my fingers out of the way until my gratitude rock was uncovered. I held it up for her to sniff – and she started BITING IT!

The Gratitude Chronicles

Lately I’ve been feeling so blessed. Part of the reason for that is my new routine. I usually get up at 5:00am, but for the past few days I’ve set the alarm for 15 minutes earlier. Why? So I can spend more time focusing on GRATITUDE.

A few months ago I wrote an article about the awesome power of gratitude and since then I’ve made it a daily habit. But I still wanted to make it a more “formal” practice by setting aside time to focus on my blessings.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Flowers for all you Moms out there.

My mother and I bought a bunch of pansies, petunias and other pretties and planted them in nice boxes to give away to the Moms (and Grandmas).
