Several years ago while meeting with a woman who was interested in my Zen Gardens, she said something that struck me like the ol’ proverbial frying pan to the head. She said: “Money is nothing more than love in an alternate form. It’s ENERGY. If you’re struggling with it, you’re looking at it from a very skewed perspective. Just think about it.”
Now, all these years later, her voice comes back to me. I hear it as clearly as if she were sitting right beside me. And yes, it makes me smile. It makes me smile because once more I am considering some of the things that may lend to what is so commonly called “poverty consciousness”. I know lots of people in this state at the moment, all of whom I love, most of whom will not let go of their own limiting beliefs about money and/or prosperity. What’s a girl to do?

It’s difficult for some people to believe that they can change their circumstances to whatever they want. If you’re like most people, you would believe that your current lot in life is the one you are stuck with. What exactly is meant by ‘mind over matter’?
The truth is, everything can be put down to mind over matter. We all have the capacity to master our own mind power. You just need to know how to do it.

I’ll never forget the day many months ago when I received something I’d never gotten before: a heated, strongly worded “hate letter” from a subscriber to my law of attraction newsletter.
The author was a woman who had been trying to manifest two specific things in her life, a promotion at her job and to get back together with her ex-boyfriend, and it hadn’t been working for her. Instead, she got suspended from her job and her ex told her he doesn’t want to get back together with her.
She wrote to me to express her anger, expletives flying everywhere!

When it comes to abundance and prosperity, expectations are vitally important. The law of attraction teaches us that we tend to receive exactly what we expect in life. Why is this? How do expectations work with the law of attraction?
If you’ve studied the law of attraction at all, you know that your thoughts and emotions release an energetic frequency out to the Universe. Whatever is vibrating at this same frequency will be pulled into your reality.
If you emit low vibrations like anger, fear, or cynicism, you will attract corresponding experiences and events. If you emit high vibrations like joy, love, and passion, you will again attract corresponding experiences and events.

When my husband and I moved into our home in southwest Minneapolis, one corner of our basement became home to a collection of about ten boxes for over a year. I can’t even tell you why. I guess our motivation just dwindled throughout the long process of unpacking. Each time I walked down the stairs to do some laundry or to feed my cats, I’d see all those boxes and just think, Ugh. We really need to take care of that stuff.
One rainy September day, 18 months after we moved in, we went downstairs, and in an afternoon, we just plowed through the task. We wound up donating or tossing about two-thirds of it. We hadn’t needed it for a year and half; we certainly didn’t need it then! Now that corner is clear. When I look over there, I notice the light pouring in the window. The physical space is clear — but so is the space in my head that was perpetually occupied whenever I looked at that unresolved pile of boxes.

Ability will never catch up with the demand for it. – Malcolm Forbes
Every person on the planet has unique abilities. If you employed your own abilities and you knew you could not fail, what would you do? Lets imagine you are the #1 People Person in the universe. People like you. They come to you for advice. They want to be your friend. You negotiate issues with uncanny success. You might become an arbitrator. You might even become a legal beagle. You could change the world with one of your great ideas. But you didnt. Not yet, anyway.
Lets suppose you are the Worlds Foremost Mother. You have this fabulous idea, based on the success you have enjoyed by raising a brood of happy, well adjusted children. But you hang back, afraid to spend your energy on your idea because someone in your childs play group criticized your hairstyle. You dont want everybody to see your hair as you present your project.

“Worry is like prayer in reverse.”
I grew up on a Vermont farm. After college, I bought a farm of my own and operated it for several years. During this time, I learned the secret to making a small fortune in farming. It’s kind of inside information, and I don’t pass it around to just anybody. Ready? Here it is: start out with a large one. And sooner or later, you’ll have a small one.
Farmers don’t lead easy lives. The work is hard and the risks are great. They’re dependent on the weather and many other things outside of their control.
I used to worry all the time. I worried about livestock disease. I worried about getting bank loans. I worried about the buying price of grain and the selling price of livestock. I worried about not having enough money. I was unhappy, fatigued and irritable. It had become a disease.
