It’s so important to take conscious control of your moods every day if you want to keep those good vibes flowing. I’ve noticed that it’s really easy to slip into a negative (or even neutral, ho-hum) state if I’m not paying attention, and things just don’t seem to “flow” as easily in that state. On the other hand, making an intention to feel good and have fun - BOOM! Good vibes and blessings abound.
This morning I stumbled across a great article that shares some tips on having fun and feeling good. Since it’s Monday, I figured you might need a little boost.
Feel Good, Have Fun - Enjoy the Journey!
By Kate Corbin
“And so we came forth, and once again beheld the stars.” - Dante Alighieri
Life Is Supposed to be Fun. Don’t you just sort of KNOW that life is supposed to be fun? Isn’t there a part of you deep inside that says - “Yeah, I know that’s true. That resonates with the core of my being.” When you recognize that life can be outrageously fun and that you can be audaciously happy, you begin to dismantle the contradictory beliefs that have been covering up this most precious knowing. Perhaps you remember knowing this as a kid, before they convinced you that life is hard and so very serious. You were right - and it’s now time to live what YOU know to be true: Life is supposed to be bubbles and sparkles and glitter and moonbeams!
Peter Pan Had it Right. Peter Pan refused to “grow up” in the sense of believing that life is hard and that you can’t have it your way and that you must constantly settle for less than you truly desire. The true act of growing up is to recognize that you CAN have everything you desire - that life is for playing and having thrilling adventures - knowing that not only can you have it your way but everyone else can have it their way too.
Feel Good. Have Fun. Enjoy The Journey. The best thing you can do for yourself and the best thing you can do for anyone you care about - in fact, the best thing you can do for our world - is to make feeling good, having fun, and enjoying the journey your number one priority. When you follow your bliss, you align with your True Self, you live YOUR life, and you savor the true joy of living. Try these things, guaranteed to raise your vibration:
Let yourself dream!
Let yourself fly!
Amaze yourself for the pure joy of feeling amazed!
Have FUN!
Be light and playful!
Live, love, laugh and be happy!
Seek joy!
Love and appreciate yourself!
Love and appreciate others!
Appreciate your wondrous, glorious life!
Appreciate your magnificent body!
Breathe in the Well-Being!
See each moment brilliantly glowing with the sheer joy of living!
Enjoy boundless levels of abundance and prosperity!
Relish paradise health!
Attract wise and wonderful friends to play with and grow with and have fun with!
Revel in the comfort of knowing that you can’t get it wrong!
Relax and know that truly All is Well!
To fully enjoy your magnificent life:
(1) Realize that you’re a Master of the Universe directing your thoughts and creating your Life.
(2) Acknowledge that you can choose to make every moment joyful.
(3) Be certain that you are absolutely and eternally wonderful and worthy of all good things.
(4) Summon up deep conviction in your ability to order and receive whatever you desire from the catalogue of the Universe.
The Question. And, finally, ask yourself this question: “How can I feel good, have fun, and enjoy the journey of my life today?”

Do you tend to let your outer circumstances set the tone for each day? Do you allow other people and events to trigger feelings of anger, frustration, impatience and more?
When you do this, you are not using the power you have available to you! By using the Law of Attraction, you can turn every day into a great day. One way to do that is by using intentions and visualization to create your day.
When you first wake up in the morning, spend 10 minutes or so thinking about the types of things you’d like to experience that day. How would you like your workday to go? What kind of people would you like to meet? Would you like to receive some great opportunities to advance your career or financial situation? How would you like to feel for the majority of your day?
Grab a blank journal or notebook and jot these details down! Once you’ve gotten all the details written down, spend a few minutes vividly imagining each scenario in your mind, exactly as you would like it to happen. Pretend you’re watching a movie in your mind, seeing it all play out exactly as you’d like it to.
Most importantly, allow yourself to feel as if they were actually happening now. Immerse yourself in feelings of excitement, joy, happiness and gratitude as you enjoy one great experience after another. Use this same process for every experience you’d like to have that day.
By the time you’re finished you should be feeling fantastic; buzzing with good spirits and high expectations!
Then continue with your normal routine, taking special care not to be “attached” to any specific events or experiences, just simply staying open to whatever comes. Keep affirming that great things are going to happen to you that day, and you feel great about all of the blessings and abundance in your life.
At the same time, avoid getting entangled in feelings of worry, anxiety, frustration, and anger as much as possible throughout the day because those feelings will interfere with the positive energy you’ve already put out.
As often as you can remember, call to mind images of the things you visualized earlier and allow good feelings to flow over you again. Affirm and know that wonderful things are happening, even if you don’t see them quite yet.
By using this process on a daily basis, you’ll eventually start to notice that good things are starting to happen. You’ll find yourself being in the “right place at the right time” and generally enjoying greater opportunities and abundance.
Whatever else you may do today, be sure to SMILE!

Intentions can be tricky things sometimes! I got an email this morning from a woman who wants to remain anonymous. She did give me permission to share the gist of her situation on my blog, which is this: she’s been trying desperately to create a career in a specific field for more than a year now, but nothing is happening. She wrote to ask my advice, if there was anything I could see that she was doing wrong.
Uh, yeah, one thing jumped out at me right away - she’s trying to control “HOW” this situation comes into being! Rather than just focusing on the end result, she’s setting intentions for all the steps that happen between here and there. I won’t go into a lot of detail about it because it doesn’t really matter for the purposes of this post, but she had a linear view of exactly what needed to happen first, second, third, and so on - to get to her desired end result.
I explained that she needed to let go of “HOW” this all comes about, and focus only on the end result. Let the universe take care of all the stuff in between - and it probably won’t happen the way she’s expecting it to happen!
Understandably, she was frustrated by my answer because she’s like everyone else - she’s used to trying to control everything. We all do it, and I still catch myself doing it too!
Just this morning I found myself trying to puzzle out a situation I’m working on right now. I was driving along in my car thinking, “Hmmm, I wonder if I did this . . . would that work? Or maybe I should do this instead . . .” Once I realized what I was doing I had to mentally slap my hands, like you would a child who keeps reaching for the hot stove burner!
I then had another one of “those talks” with the universe: “Just let me know if you want me to do something specific to make this happen. Otherwise, I know it will all work out for my highest good.”
Taking action isn’t always a bad thing, of course. If you feel a nudge in a certain direction, go for it. But there’s a big difference between INSPIRED action and FORCED action. Forced action is when you’re trying to make things go faster, or make things happen in your own way rather than letting the universe orchestrate things for you.
Forced action isn’t always a bad thing either; it can even be helpful in a pinch, but rarely works for long-term situations.
Anyway, bottom line: focus on the end result and let the universe take care of the rest! Put a lot of positive emotion and belief into KNOWING that your desire will be realized - and wait to see what happens! Every time I do this successfully, I’m blown away by the miracles that come my way. Stuff I NEVER could have imagined, let alone orchestrated!
Don’t fear the loss of control - embrace the freedom and ease of not having to take on everything yourself. Your shoulders get awfully tired, carrying around such a heavy load!

You’ve probably heard it said that you should be very specific when it comes to asking the universe for what you want because the universe can’t deliver on vague intentions. This is true, but it is also possible to get TOO specific - and end up creating blockages for yourself.
Being too specific does not limit the universe; it limits YOU by creating a preconceived notion in your mind. If your desired object or experience doesn’t fit your preconceived notion, you’ll block it!
But what if the universe has something even BETTER to send your way? What if this better thing would make you even happier than what you originally intended to receive? You don’t want to limit yourself that way. Instead, it’s better to remain open to the infinite ways the universe can delight and surprise you!
Below you’ll find some handy guidelines to help you know for sure whether you’re being too specific, or not specific enough.
DEFINITELY BE SPECIFIC ABOUT:
- The Object or Experience You Want to Attract
This is most often what people mean when they tell you to “be specific” with your intentions. You want to come up with as many details as you can about the things you want to attract. For example, if you want to meet your soul mate you could make a detailed list of qualities that you want him or her to have. “Great sense of humor; kind and compassionate; successful and motivated; respectful and considerate, attractive and fit;” etc.
- The Essence or Quality You’re After
Once you’ve gotten clear on exactly what you want, consider WHY you want it. What essence or quality will this thing give you? Will you feel more loved, secure, happy, peaceful, connected, abundant, or . . .? Knowing WHY you want something can help you get even more specific about its features and benefits - which only ensures that you’re asking for something that will truly satisfy you! With every desire or intention, complete this statement:
“I want ______ because I believe it will make me feel ______.”
Take your time with this exercise and be sure you’re asking for something that will satisfy your true needs and wants.
- The Ways it Will Change Your Life
Also be clear about the changes your intentions will create in your life and be sure you’re asking for something that will create the changes you want. For example, if you ask for a partner that is active and successful, consider whether such a partner would be a good match for you. Are you active and fit too? Are you successful and motivated too? Are you the type of person your soul mate would be attracted to? If your current life circumstances don’t correspond with what you’re asking for, the arrival of your desires are likely to create conflict instead of happiness.
AVOID BEING SPECIFIC ABOUT:
- The Form Your Desire Takes
While it’s good to be specific about the qualities and characteristics your desire has, you want to avoid any specifics that would limit the results you can receive. For example, saying, “I want my soul mate to be 6′ 4″ tall, have medium-brown hair, light green eyes and a successful career as a motivational speaker” would be somewhat limiting. What if the universe knows a great guy that almost fits that description - except that his eyes are blue? Would you turn him away because he has blue eyes?
It’s not that you can’t give specifics about appearances and other qualities. You can. BUT - be sure you have a reason for wanting those specific things if you ask for them. If you have always been turned off by men with blue eyes, then okay, ask for a guy with green eyes or brown eyes. Just be willing to wait a bit longer for him if necessary.
Another area people tend to do this with is money. There’s nothing wrong with asking for a million dollars if you have a clear reason for wanting that exact sum. But if you’re asking for a million dollars because you want to “feel like you have plenty of money,” or so you’ll “never be broke again,” you could accomplish both of those objectives with other sums of money. What if the universe wants to send you smaller sums more often, like an extra $50,000 a year for the rest of your life? Would you refuse it because it’s not a million?
Your job is to get clear about the object or experience you want, the essence or quality it will provide for you - and then let the universe decide what form it will take! This requires releasing control, which isn’t always easy to do, but more often than not the universe will choose a form that absolutely thrills and delights you - FAR beyond anything you could have thought up yourself.
- The Way it Comes into Your Life
This is another area where you want to avoid being too rigid. You may decide that meeting your soul mate is more likely to happen at a singles function, but what if the universe decides to arrange a chance meeting in the produce section of your local supermarket instead? Worse, what if you feel a nudge to visit the supermarket at that exact moment but decide not to because you’re hooked on the idea of falling in love on a dance floor?
Rather than trying to control “how” your desire enters your life, be willing to let the universe handle it for you.
Once again, this applies to money (and everything else) too! Saying, “I want to win ten million dollars in the lottery” is like telling the universe, “I just don’t believe that a large amount of money could come to me in any other way, so don’t send it unless it comes through a lottery win.” The universe will always honor your beliefs, so you’ll block the abundance that could be flowing madly into your life in thousands of other ways!
- The Timing in Which it Arrives
Finally, as much as we’d like to be in control of WHEN something arrives in our lives, it can often be better to let the universe handle that too. If you have a specific reason for wanting something by a certain date then okay, ask for it. However, if your “specific reason” for wanting it by a certain date is that you simply won’t feel happy or content without it - you’ll be injecting an element of “need” into your intention, and you’ll delay its arrival.
Remember, one of the most powerful things you can do to attract your desires is get into the FEELING PLACE of already having them! Impatience always causes delays! Simply let go and let the universe work on your behalf, and you’ll almost always be pleasantly surprised by the result.

Yesterday I went to visit my sister-in-law and niece (1 year) and nephew (3 years), like I do most Thursdays. My nephew came racing to the door when I arrived, and he was holding a cute, light blue stuffed elephant. He proudly declared that this was his “brand new, cuddly elephant”.
When my sister-in-law told me how this elephant came to be part of the family, I laughed uproariously and clapped my hands!
My sister-in-law makes a deal with my nephew whenever they go shopping. If he behaves, he gets to pick out one toy to buy and take home. The other day when they were preparing to go to a local department store, my nephew started planning what his toy would be that day.
He kept saying over and over, “I’m going to get a brand new, cuddly elephant.” My sister-in-law said, “Oh honey, the store we’re going to today doesn’t really have a big selection of toys so they might not have any elephants. You might have to get something else, like a book or a puzzle.”
“NOPE,” my nephew declared, “I’m going to get a brand new, cuddly elephant.” My sister-in-law tried to prepare him for disappointment in case the store didn’t have any, but he would not hear it! He just insisted that he was going to get an elephant.
Long story short, they arrive at the store, and what do they see right when they walk in the front door? A display of Dr. Suess books and stuffed animal characters from the books - including an ELEPHANT!!!
My nephew made a beeline for his new friend, and hasn’t put it down since. My sister-in-law was just blown away and I laughed like crazy when she told me the story.
Kids are NATURAL manifestors! In fact, I remember when I was a kid having experiences very much like this one! It’s truly amazing what they can do if we adults don’t get in the way and mess it up. LOL

Did you do the Gratitude Dance yesterday?
It’s a lot of fun! Today I figured we’d keep the good energy flowing with another fun activity:
How to Create an Intention Poster
An intention poster (also known as a “vision board”) is a great way to keep your intentions at the forefront of your mind - and thereby attract them!
Here’s how to make one:
Start with a large sheet of poster board (alternatively you could use a dry erase board or cork board).
Then gather some images that best represent your intentions. You can use magazines or newspapers clippings, or even a free stock image gallery (like http://www.sxc.hu/). Try to choose pictures that reflect not only the specifics of what you want, but also those that seem to have the “feel” of the essence you want. You can tell by how the picture makes you feel when you look at it.
Once you’ve got all your pictures together, stick them on the poster! You can arrange them anyway you like, and even cut out little signs or “thought bubbles” like you see in cartoons to add some powerful words, like “My fun new car!” or “Our dream home.” I also like to buy some cute stickers, ribbons, or other decorations that I can use to add color and interest, but that’s up to you.
When your poster is finished, it’s time to hang it up. Choose a spot that you’ll see often, like on your refrigerator, in a well-traveled hallway, or near your meditation area.
Then, be sure to spend time looking at your poster each day and generating lots of positive emotions as you do. Remember that the Law of Attraction is activated by your thoughts, emotions and beliefs. So as you look at the images on your poster:
1) Be sure to think positively about the things you want.
2) FEEL positive emotions about the things you want (not desperate or frustrated). Focus on feeling excited, joyful, grateful and peaceful - just like you would if you already had them.
3) Believe that they are making their way into your life right now.
That’s it! It’s a fun and easy project that helps you to keep a strong focus on your intentions. The more you do it, and the more positive energy you can direct toward what you want, the more easily you’ll attract it into your life.

You may have heard that you should always use present tense when you say affirmations or intentions. So instead of saying, “I will attract amazing opportunities today,” you should word it, “I am attracting amazing opportunities today,” or “I always attract amazing opportunities.”
Is this really important? Does tense matter?
Personally, I think it matters only if YOU think it matters. How’s that for a vague answer? LOL
Here’s why I think that:
When you recite an affirmation or state an intention, you are injecting your own unique beliefs and expectations into the mix. The words themselves don’t really matter - except that they put a specific picture in your mind and set you up for a specific expectation.
So the short answer would be, word them in a way that makes it easier for you to believe them.
Some people really do find it helpful to put them in present tense. Some people find it helpful to word them in a way that emphasizes a process instead of an end result. (Like, “I am becoming stronger and healthier every day.”)
If that works for you, go for it! If not, don’t feel that you have to do it that way.
Personally, I use future tense in my affirmations and intentions all the time and they still work fine. I’ll say things like, “Today I will remember to be alert to great opportunities that cross my path,” or “Today I will attract massive abundance in all forms,” and so on.
The bottom line is, whatever you believe and expect to see is what you’ll get - no matter how you word it.

While I was out running errands yesterday, I passed a car with a distinctive vanity license plate. It read: “IM BROKE”.
I couldn’t help myself, I gasped in horror!
Why would a person label themselves with such a dire self-fulfilling prophecy?
If there is one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that our beliefs are VERY powerful. If you keep affirming that you’re broke, guess what’s going to happen to your financial state?
Even when we’re not actively focused on a belief, it keeps playing over and over in our subconscious mind. I can imagine that the woman who was driving this car frequently finds herself in difficult financial straits. Maybe she’s not completely “broke” all the time - but repeatedly has unexpected expenses popping up all over the place, keeping her in financial limbo. She might get a little bit ahead, and then get pulled right back to her chosen status of “broke” when something goes wrong.
I say “chosen status” because we really do CHOOSE the circumstances of our lives. What we believe, and what we devote most of our focus to is what we will experience!
Why would a person do that to themselves?
Very often, it’s not that they WANT to choose this kind of self-fulfilling prophecy - it’s that they don’t realize they HAVE a choice. They think they have no control over their situation, so they accept it and never even try to turn it around.
Having said all that, it’s entirely possible that the driver of this car was just trying to be funny or flippant, and isn’t really “broke” at all. In fact, the car she was driving was nice enough. Definitely not a junker. I couldn’t help but wonder what the rest of her life looks like.
Still - even when we joke about something, there is usually a seed of truth lurking beneath the humor. Think about that for a moment. If you didn’t believe something was even a little bit true, you wouldn’t say it at all - not even in a joking manner.
We’ve got to be VERY CAREFUL about the things we say to (or about) ourselves, because it eventually becomes self-fulfilling prosperity . . . or lack.
If you want to joke about something, joke about how wonderful you are. Joke about your “adoring fans” or the wealth that’s on its way to you. Joke about how your life is blissful and easy and meaningful. Joke about how you are the luckiest person alive and you can’t get away from the goodness that constantly flows into your life. Even as you kid about this stuff, you are planting seeds for the reality to be born.
As for me, I think I’m going to get a new license plate for my car. I’m thinking along the lines of: “IM BLESSED” or “EVER JOYFUL” or “A POWERFUL AMAZING DYNAMIC CREATOR IN MY OWN RIGHT.” That last one might be too long, unless I buy a stretch Hummer. LOL
What about you? What would your self-fulfilling license plate say? Choose wisely, and then display it proudly.

A new (yet all-too-familiar) problem has reared its ugly head in my life: Not-enough-time-itis.
I’m one of those people that gets all fired up when I’m working on something I really love. That includes my site(s), blog(s), information products…not to mention my “regular work”.
One thing I keep learning the hard way: there must be balance. I cannot work 14 hours a day and still expect to have clear focus and abundant motivation. I cannot do everything at once, no matter how badly I might want to.
The solution seems easy enough: focus on one thing until it’s finished, then move on to something else. HA! Easier said than done. First, many of my projects and jobs have no “finish” point. They are ongoing. These are things I’m very passionate about, and I don’t want them to have an ending. Then there are the things that DO have an ending, but I struggle to squeeze them in with all the other stuff I do regularly.
Ah, I just uttered a key word there: squeeze.
How much cr@p can you s-q-u-e-e-z-e into a bag before it bursts? And how much pressure builds up before it really does burst? Do I really want to live my life under that kind of pressure? NO!
So, the answer is clear: simplify.
It’s a matter of focusing on what I TRULY LOVE most of the time, and minimizing the rest so that it becomes more manageable. That doesn’t mean I have to completely give up on the extra stuff; I just need to clarify what is most important to me and act accordingly most of the time.
Another important answer: lower expectations.
I’ve noticed something interesting about myself. I just can’t wait to see the end result of whatever I’m working on, so I go full steam ahead and can’t even enjoy it because I’m too burned out!
There is no joy in finishing if you can’t enjoy the journey. I need to keep in mind the benefits of moderation, and stick to a slower pace. The finish line will still be there, even if I pause to admire the scenery along the way!
So - the point of this blog is: have you lost your sense of direction? Do you have goals you are working toward but keep finding yourself tied up in knots in the process? Or have you completely lost your sense of direction and don’t even know where you want to go?
Do these 3 things:
1) Breathe. Pause for a few moments and get your bearings.
2) Clarify. What do you REALLY want? Where do you want to go?
3) Simplify. Choose a few key action steps that will move you in the direction of what you want. Don’t try to do it all overnight. Don’t try to force yourself to stick to an unreasonable schedule. Just move one step at a time toward what you want.
Feel better? I do.
P.S. I’ve just finished adding some new e-courses and ebooks to Wings for the Heart.
There are 2 new ebooks, one on the Law of Attraction and one on Goal-Setting. Both of them are very good! Get them here: Free Motivational Ebooks
I’ve also added 4 new e-courses (totally free!). One each on the Law of Attraction, Aging, Manifesting Your Heart’s Desire, and Time Management. See them here: Free Email Courses
I guess it’s true that happiness is doing what you love. After spending a few hours reading these ebooks and exploring the e-courses, I really DO feel better. Like I’ve gotten back on track somehow - but in a much more gentle, peaceful way. YES…

Happy Monday!
I just had to restrain myself from quoting Clint Eastwood’s character Dirty Harry: “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya punk?”
It would have been funny, but I doubt you’d enjoy being called a “punk”!
Seriously though, today’s article is all about LUCK. What is luck? Why do some people seem to have it, and others don’t? Do you ever say things like, “If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all”?
Well read on, because I’m going to tell you exactly how to become lucky. And it’s much easier than you think!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How to Become Lucky
You may be accustomed to thinking about luck as some mysterious, fleeting quality that you either have or don’t have – but the Law of Attraction teaches us that we can consciously choose to become lucky.
While the dictionary defines luck as “chance or good fortune” – studying the Law of Attraction awakens us to the understanding that chance has little to do with it. It is our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and actions that determine the outcome of any situation, not some random quirk of fate.
In other words, it is much more about the type of person you are and the things you consistently do that determine how lucky you are. Through the conscious use of the Law of Attraction, you can easily and quickly become the luckiest person on the planet! You just have to understand how to get some good energy flowing through your life by adopting the mind-set and demeanor of a lucky person. This involves learning how to alter your thoughts, emotions and actions in such a way that they attract opportunities, abundance and good fortune.
How do you do this? If you’ve ever observed the people that seem to be naturally lucky, you may have noticed a few interesting things about them.
- Lucky people are optimists. They always expect the best outcome with whatever they do, and they very often get it! They don’t spend time brooding over missed opportunities or a lack of options. Instead they focus on the positives and MAKE situations work for them. At the same time, they have learned the art of detachment. They let go of any “need” for a specific outcome and instead remain open to the many good things that life has to offer. This very mind-set is what attracts great opportunities into their lives, and also gives them the keen awareness to recognize such opportunities.
- Lucky people live in the moment. They don’t spend time obsessing over negative things that happened in the past, and they don’t harbor anxiety about the future. Instead, they simply grasp the joy and passion that life has to offer them right NOW, and let the future take care of itself. This also contributes to clearer thought processes, which enables them to be more aware of the potential that exists in each moment.
- Lucky people take action without hesitation. You will rarely see a lucky person hesitating, doubting, or holding back on something they really want to do. Instead, they leap ahead when they see something they want. They’re not afraid of hard work, but they also seem to have an innate ability to make any endeavor fun and exciting. They don’t groan about how hard life is; they take control of the wheel and steer their lives where they want to go!
If you consciously begin taking these actions yourself on a regular basis, you will notice a gradually increasing flow of good fortune. Not only will you attract better outcomes in every situation, you will call forth endless opportunities to keep improving all areas of your life.
