The universe in which we live is one of infinite possibilities. There are literally no restrictions on what you can be, do, or experience. We place restrictions on ourselves, unknowingly. By breaking down our own mental barriers and belief systems, we can better learn to tune in to the greater realm of possibilities available to us as spiritual beings.
Breaking down belief systems can be frustrating. It can take a long time, and you will find that not long after, a new belief system has sprung up in the old one’s place.
There are likely circumstances in your life that are less than pleasant. Whether it be personal relationships, a dull or stressful job, or financial distress, there is something you wish you could turn completely on its head. Luckily, the Law of Attraction is fully capable of allowing you to take the things in your life that you do not enjoy and replace them with things that you do enjoy. Let’s take a peek at how you can use the Law of Attraction to change negative circumstances in your life.
First and foremost, while you will identify what you do not currently like about your life, this must not be your focus while using the Law of Attraction. Use your “don’t-wants” to more easily define your “do-wants”, and then focus only on them. The Law of Attraction, the Universe, and the Subconscious Mind are all incapable of distinguishing between a negative and a positive – whatever is given focus is what will manifest. “I don’t want to be poor” will make you poorer, while “I desire wealth” will turn that situation around. Start by figuring out what would best replace your negative circumstance, and then turn your attention fully to that.
One of the greatest gifts we receive as deliberate creators is an awakening to our true power to choose our life experiences day to day. Most of us are used to living our lives in response to the things we see and experience in our external surroundings. When everything moves along smoothly for us, we feel good. When things go wrong, we feel bad. We are constantly on a roller coaster of up and down emotions. In other words, we tend to take a passive role in our daily lives, rather than a proactive one.
I recently purchased an audio CD from Abraham-Hicks that is awesome! It’s on Money & Manifestation, and there was one part in particular that I found fascinating! And that is the concept of pure thought vs. action hours.
On the recording, a seminar participant asked Abraham about something she’s trying to create in her life, but she isn’t able to take much action on it because she’s got a lot of responsibilities (kids and whatnot). So she feels like she’s not getting where she wants to be fast enough.
One major stumbling block many people experience when attempting to attract more prosperity and abundance into their lives is the perception that they must wait for some power greater than themselves to give the go-ahead. It’s very common to feel this way!
Years ago, I used to ask for greater abundance all the time (beg for it, actually), and then I’d wait anxiously, growing more and more impatient when it didn’t show up. Perhaps you’ve done that too? The problem with this activity is that it enhances the perception of POWERLESSNESS. When we do this we are holding a belief that “someone” has to approve our request, and we are at the mercy of their decision.
We’ve heard it over and over again: thoughts create reality. Yes, thoughts are very powerful. Thoughts inspire emotions, which create raw energy in the form of your intent. This energy then becomes physical form or experience.
But there’s one more key ingredient that many people leave out when working with the Law of Attraction: the power of your word.
