Several years ago while meeting with a woman who was interested in my Zen Gardens, she said something that struck me like the ol’ proverbial frying pan to the head. She said: “Money is nothing more than love in an alternate form. It’s ENERGY. If you’re struggling with it, you’re looking at it from a very skewed perspective. Just think about it.”
Now, all these years later, her voice comes back to me. I hear it as clearly as if she were sitting right beside me. And yes, it makes me smile. It makes me smile because once more I am considering some of the things that may lend to what is so commonly called “poverty consciousness”. I know lots of people in this state at the moment, all of whom I love, most of whom will not let go of their own limiting beliefs about money and/or prosperity. What’s a girl to do?
This is a great video that offers an example on getting into the “vortex” (happy, positive state of mind) about money and abundance.
It’s amazing to realize after you’ve done this type of exercise for a short period of time that it works FAST! All you have to do is keep improving your quality of thoughts about money and abundance, and money and abundance must start flowing in.
In Part I of this article, we discussed the ways energy blockages can hinder or limit our financial resources. We emphasized the futility of using the law of attraction to attract more money if you don’t first clear the blockages that prevent it from manifesting in your life.
Finally, we described the symptoms of such a blockage: feeling blocked or “stuck,” unable to move forward beyond a certain point, ineffectiveness of prosperity affirmations and visualizations, and constant frustration because “it’s not working.”
In order to identify and dissolve inner blockages, you need to answer three questions:
When most people learn about the law of attraction and awaken to their ability to use their thoughts and emotions to attract what they want, their thoughts inevitably turn to money. It’s something that many (if not most) of us want more of, and never seem to have enough of!
Money is necessary for survival in modern day society, but it also carries a lot more weight than that. Our financial resources can determine not only the quality of our everyday lives, but the level of enjoyment and freedom we experience in every aspect of our lives. Little money means little power, little freedom, and very limited options.
If you’re like most people, you’ve experienced periods of lack in your life. Whether you didn’t have enough money for something you wanted or you felt bored and uninspired, you likely found yourself yearning for “more” – of whatever you felt you needed at the time.
Though abundance seems to be something separate from you, it is actually a state of mind that you can adopt whenever you want to. One of the best ways to do this is by choosing to see “more than enough” wherever you go.
If you’re accustomed to focusing on what you don’t have rather than what you do have, this concept may be challenging to grasp when you first begin. However, with a little practice you will be able to slip into an abundance mind-set effortlessly.
Your mind is a powerful tool that you use everyday to steer yourself in the direction of the experience that you are choosing to live. In any given moment you will have thoughts running consciously or unconsciously. Those thoughts are determining where you will arrive in a month, a day, and an hour.
Wealth can be attracted into your life by giving your attention to it. Not the lack of wealth in your life already, but the richness that you already have and know you can have. Wealth is a birthright. Prosperity is a birthright. Abundance is a birthright. Why would God send you to this earth with so much to experience and expect you to live without means to enjoy it?
All of us have thoughts, which we have picked up from others along the way. Quite likely our family and friends have been instrumental in many of the thoughts that any of us have running on auto-pilot. It is worthwhile choosing uplifting like-minded people to associate with that can support you in creating a world where your thoughts will lead to your ultimate desire.
